Tourniquet CAT Gen 7

The Combat Application Tourniquet® , or simply CAT, is a one-handed tourniquet system for congesting or temporarily interrupting blood flow in emergency situations, particularly in tactical casualty care . An individually adjustable strap allows the tourniquet to be applied to any extremity. The winding system (band with toggle) tensions a freely movable inner band to prevent the flow of arterial blood to the extremity. Securing the toggle under a clamp hook requires only one movement. The CAT ^™ 's hook-and-loop fastener provides additional security during transport .
